"We Running Things" running group has officially launched in South Shore, created with you in mind, to promote a healthier lifestyle through running. The program’s primary goal is to increase the physical activity and improve the health of the local community by providing opportunities to learn about and engage in weekly wellness discussions, cycling, circuit training, yoga for runners and group walks/runs. Each of the training programs culminate with registration and participation in the United Run for the Zoo 5K/10K. Be on the lookout for the debut of our half-marathon training program during the Spring Session. Details to come. Registration for the St. Paddy's day Race is not included in the training program fee.
Join us THIS Sat at 8:30 AM at La Rabida for the first run of the Spring Training session.Online registration through this website (credit card payments via Pay Pal) is preferred though on-site registration at the Spring Session Kick-Off will be offered; cash only payments will be accepted. Registered participants receive a personalized training program in addition to an official "We Running Things Goody Bag".
A better competitor. By no means are you a beginning runner as you have quite a few 5K races under your belt but you're not quite ready to take on the half-marathon. This 8-week program will help you increase your mileage base and prepare you to run your first 10K. If you're an experienced 5K runner or a highly active person with a good level of physical fitness this program is for you.

L1 – The Run/Walk Plan
You have a million and one reasons why you shouldn't get started but today is the day! This 8-week program will assist you in jump-starting your running program by combining run/walk sessions to ready you for consistent running training. If you're currently walking and moderately active, this program is for you.

L2 – On The Road to Running My First 5K
Never stop. Never give up. You're an experienced run/walk(er) who desires to kick things up a notch. You've made the decision to begin a running program and RUN your first 5K. This 8-week program gradually reduces the run/walk sessions while transitioning you into a consistent runner. If you're moderate to highly active with running experience, this program is for you.

Half as far. Twice as fast. You've been consistently running for over a year and have participated in many 5K races. Now you want to add speed work to your training and lower your 5K race pace. This 8-week program will introduce long runs, speed intervals and hill training to your workouts to increase intensity and strength. If you're an experienced 5K runner interested in faster running training, this program is for you.
